Today the Gasworks museum featured in an Otago Daily Times newspaper report under the bi-line “the DCC’s attention again turned to its 2010 – 11 annual plan”

The article included a picture of the fitting shop reconstruction, and indicated a “funding shortfall” discovered during the work.

As a direct result of the article, at today’s open day we hosted several visitors who came to see the work in progress for themselves, and to enjoy our “world class visitor experience”

As the Fitting shop project nears completion, volunteers commenced cleaning and restoration of the fitting shop artefacts.
